Spring Photo Shoot

I had a great shoot with a good friend recently. We shot in and around a nice building here local as well as near a University campus. The collection of building architecture and spring flowers made for a great shoot.

Great Salt Lake shoot

Well. I had this all set up and was really excited to shoot with a new model.

She sent me an email early in the morning stating that she had transportation troubles and would not be able to make the shoot.
Rather than waste a planned shoot, I went anyway. I shot about 50 or 60 shots of the landscape, buildings, and this real neat-looking rail-car, when this young couple started walking around the place as well. I went up to the guy and asked it I could use them as subjects for a few shots. They were willing and so that worked out really cool.

I’ll post a few here when I get at them.

Spring is coming!

Ok, a new year is here and the weather is getting warmer.

We are now in Daylight saving time, and so the sun is going down later - at least according to the clock.

I saw an abandon building out near the south end of the Salt Lake and would like to shoot there sometime this week. Any takers contact me at kphotos.ut@gmail.com

fall shoots

I did two fall colors shots.

One with Haley and one with Karem. Both were gorgeous models and worked well.

I'll post a few shots when I get them. I don't have access to them right now from this PC.

Salt Flats shoot

We found ourselves out in the west desert and began to shoot. What a dry, flat waste-land.

The air was hot and the ground was dry, but the scenery was wonderful.

GIMP exercise

Ok, so, I was playing with GIMP the other day and finally got to Lauren's shoot where I wanted to make a spider-woman out of her. Here's the result.

Another Engagement shoot done

I did another shoot a week later. These two kids were much younger and were very anxious to get photos done. The sun-light was fair, but there were times where is became a little too harsh for my liking (eye squinting).

We also shot at the Provo Library. I need to look at my tri-pod because some of them turned out a little slanted. It's a good thing photoshop can help correct for some of these 'novice' mistakes.
